Idalynn McDonald became a licensed aesthetician, trademarked the formula she had developed from
natural products in her cupboard and started selling Honey Bunz skin care products to wholesalers, online and area salons. She contacted QVC and was a finalist in their New Product Search.
Over time, McDonald developed an entire body care line with the Honey Bunz brand including a Moisturizing Scrub, Massage Cream, Lip Balm, Make-Up Remover, Face & Body Lotion, Shaving Cream and Lavender Shampoo & Lavender Conditioner, Lavender Shower Gel & Chocolate Lavender Bath Salts!!
All of her products are organic and made of only natural ingredients and are not tested on animals. McDonald is active with many organizations working to improve the skin-care industry.
While developing the Honey Bunz products and selling them to local salons and wholesalers, McDonald maintained her job in the corporate sector. However, due to the great success of the Honey Bunz products, McDonald decided to take a risk and live her dream. In August 2009, she opened up
Honey Bunz Salon and Organic Day Spa.
Every year we at Honey Bunz Salon donate a portion of our profits to "green" organizations
through 1% for the planet, which allows us to minimize our environmental footprint.
Every year Honey Bunz Salon and Idalynn Cosmetics, LLC donates a portion of its sales of all
Honey Bunz products to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that is
dedicated to Skin Cancer research, education, prevention and patient care programs.
